Guidance on best SuDS systems for a specific development

Site drainage evaluation for best practice use of SuDS

The Site drainage evaluation for best practice use of SuDS tool generates a report providing guidance on the types of SuDS systems which may be suitable for use on a development, relating to its specific site characteristics.

When to use this tool?

The Site drainage evaluation for best practice use of SuDStool provides early guidance on the types of components that might be suitable for use as part of drainage design at a particular site. This will usefully facilitate pre-application discussions with planners and other relevant authorities.

The use of this tool should be supplemented by the more detailed guidance on SuDS best practice provided in a number of sources, principally the CIRIA SUDS Manual C753 (2015).

How to use the tool?

This tool is an online tool, which is free to use for all registered users. User need to enter defined characteristics, such as soil types and groundwater levels. User can then generate an online report.
